About This Place

Nestled in the heart of downtown Greenville at 126 Augusta Street, Gather GVL is a vibrant fusion of food court, live music venue, bar, and restaurant all rolled into one dynamic space. This bustling, multi-vendor hotspot offers an eclectic culinary adventure for every palate, making it a must-visit destination whether you're out for a casual bite, enjoying a night with friends, or soaking in live entertainment.

Gather GVL’s menu is a celebration of diverse flavors — from the fresh and tangy Cochinita Pibil to the indulgent Maple Bacon Chicken Sandwich. Craving something light and fresh? Their build-your-own bowls feature vibrant ingredients like almond shavings, kiwi, and goji berries drizzled with honey, delivering a perfectly balanced boost of energy and flavor. Smoothie lovers will delight in options like the Beast Mode acai blend or the Power Up smoothie, packed with vanilla whey protein and almond milk for a nourishing treat.

If seafood beckons, the CT Lobster Roll and Lobster Hushpuppies offer decadence with every bite, combining buttery richness and crispy textures. For those who prefer savory street food, the Fried Shrimp Tacos and Chicken Tostada bring bold, zesty notes that satisfy cravings wonderfully. And for dessert lovers, indulgences like Fried Oreos, Funnel Cake, and assorted doughnuts elevate the meal with sweet nostalgia and irresistible crunch.

The atmosphere at Gather GVL is lively and inviting – a spacious outdoor food hall with two floors for seating. Though it can get busy, especially on weekends or game days, the energy is contagious with families, college students, and food enthusiasts all mingling under a blend of open sky and sheltered areas. The fire pit and iconic “Gather” sign set the perfect ambiance for memorable photos and relaxed socializing. Live music adds a rich layer of entertainment, making it much more than just a place to eat.

Customers often mention the joyous, communal feeling of the space. Jennifer Hopkins described it as “absolutely fun,” savoring a cauliflower crust pizza alongside crab hush puppies from another vendor – highlighting the joy of sharing unique dishes in this multi-tenant concept. Michelle Mariscal praises the cleverness of the food hall but notes the spirited flood of children, reflecting the family-friendly vibe that vibrates throughout Gather GVL. The outdoor setting creates a casual, breezy environment, though guests should be mindful that seating can become a bit of a treasure hunt during peak hours.

Practical touches like clean restrooms and reasonable parking nearby enhance the visitor experience, as noted by Hung Do, who enjoyed gathering here after a group bike ride on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The variety of food options is impressive, ensuring everyone in your party – from seafood lovers and pizza fans to vegans and sweet tooths – can find something to delight their taste buds.

Whether you’re hunting for a power-packed acai bowl, craving a flight of local beers, or wanting to indulge in a decadent maple bacon sandwich, Gather GVL offers a rich tapestry of options in a spirited, open-air setting. What an absolutely fun place! Several choices of food (I had an amazing cauliflower crust pizza and shared some delicious crab hush puppies from a different vendor. It's a popular place, so seating can be tricky, and there is very little shelter. Well worth the visit!

LOVE the concept!! All the food I’ve had from the different vendors has been great!! It’s clever and I like it. The negative is that it’s always packed with children. There are always unattended kids running around. TONS of kids. It’s hard to maneuver around with your hands full of food and drinks looking for seating with all the kids running and screaming. If you are a family with a lot of kids it’s probably a great place for you because you can just let them loose to run around while you relax, but for everyone else it’s just like a giant daycare center with food. If you’re not in the mood for the kids, this probably isn’t the venue for you. If you’re a kid, this is definitely the venue for you

What a concept - outdoor food hall partially under roof with 2 floors for seating. Clean restrooms. Adjacent parking is $1 per hour, pay online. Parking across the street was $10. We came here after a group bike ride on the Swamp Rabbit Trail at 2 pm on Saturday, it was packed. Various types of food vendors, covering all types. Quality was above average, prices reasonable, portions adequate. If your group don’t know what to eat, come visit this place.

Tried Gather GVL, lots of food options here, there is sure to be something for someone on your list. Lots of space here and kids can run around and play, there a handful of seafood type places to eat, pizza, desserts, stir fry plus more. We opted for stir fry and it was really good. Just an fyi if you pay for parking in the lot next door they do check if you happen to go over your time limit.

We had family come visit from GA and I wanted to bring them here for lunch. Lots of various options for everyone for food. Great environment with the fire pit and backdrop of Gather sign, to relax and take photos. It was a big college football game day, so lots of excitement.

Great spot for a large group with many options. Enjoy the great atmosphere and venture a quick walk to Fluor Field when the Drive is in season. BBQ was on point and restrooms were clean. We’ll be back to enjoy more food options.

Wish we had this in Akron Ohio. Wonderful to be able to go to one area and try many different dishes and have a nice place to eat. Would recommend this to everyone coming here to Greenville

We drove by this fun food spot as we came into Greenville and walked back to it as soon as we found parking during a busy holiday weekend. Colorful, fun, inviting and very modern, this food court made from shopping containers that contains multiple food and drink vendors, lots of seating upstairs and down, places in both the sun and shade, and some play areas. It was packed when we were there and a few of the higher rating vendors weren't open, but Hen Dough was both highly recommended and had a very creative menu. We had an egg and cheese biscuit sandwich and the amazing Maple Bacon Chicken sandwich, which was INCREDIBLE! Very messy to eat, but so worth it. We enjoyed it with beer on tap from Greenville Beer Exchange. Shared tables meant we met others visiting and swapped food recommendations during our visit. A very fun food court that would be fun to visit regularly and try different food and drinks and enjoy music. I'd give Gather GVL 5 stars for the fun factor and Hen Dough definitely needs its own shout out with 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars
